Kamal Gatta (Lotus Seed) Mala

Lotus is grown in marshes. It still produces a high-quality flower in color, odour, and visual sight. This is what makes Lotus a flower loved by all. Goddess of Wealth, Goddess Lakshmi sits on a Lotus flower, and Goddess of Valour and Fearlessness, Goddess Durga holds a lotus flower in nearly all her forms. Each color of Lotus symbolizes something, but the color of the seeds of the Lotus flower is always black when dried. The seeds of the Lotus flower symbolize wealth and prosperity and it is believed to cut down on poverty by providing career growth.

A very less known fact about Kamal gatta is that in Vastu Shastra, Lotus seeds are considered to evade all negative Vastu Dosh from the place it is kept at. It is said to be the only flowering plant which provides some usage of all its parts either for medical usage in Ayurveda or for serving the religious purposes.

This is an original Lotus seed mala, having large beads of 16.5 mm size each in length and 11.5 mm in diameter, handwoven in fine and smooth silk threads with knots on both sides of each bead to prevent the beads from slipping away.
